Obituary for Walter Saylor

Walter Saylor, age 62, died Friday, May 5, 2017 at Saint Joseph Berea in the Emergency Department. A native of Garrard County, Kentucky he was born February 21, 1955 to the late Eli and Cindy Roark Saylor. Mr. Saylor was of the Pentecostal Holiness Faith.
Other than his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers; David J. and Dillard Saylor.
Mr. Saylor is survived by his brother and two sisters; Billy Lee (Nancy) Saylor of Nicholasville, Kentucky and Margaret Saylor of Chipley, Florida and Loretta Caldwell of Pineville, Kentucky. He loved his nieces and nephews as if they were his own children and made his home with his niece Teresa Saylor. Other survivors are; a special great nephew; Brandon Koon, friends, Travis Powell, Anthony Smith, Debra Henry, and Grace Evans.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Harmons Lick Holiness Church in Garrard County, with Bro. Roger Stevens officiating. Burial will follow in the String Town Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Josh Cain, Marshall Hood, Ronnie Saylor, Anthony Wayne Saylor, Brian Saylor, Jeremy Spencer, Daryl Phillips, and Donnie Phillips. Visitation will be after 6:00 pm Tuesday at the church. Davis & Powell Funeral Home in Charge of arrangements. www.davisandpowellfuneralhome.com
