Obituary for Roberta Leslie Cole-Creekmore

Roberta Leslie Creekmore, 62, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 2nd, 2017 after a hard-fought battle with cancer. To which she said, “Finally now I can get some peace and quiet!”
Born December 5th, 1955 to Robert Batdorf and Mary Wood in Watervliet, MI, Roberta was known for her quick-witted sarcasm, carefully manicured nails, love of handbags, and the ability to look after every stray cat or person who graced her doorstep. She touched the lives of all who knew her.
She married Paul A. Webb in 1971 and raised three equally tough and sarcastic children in Berea, KY, although their relationship with nails, cats and handbags is, well… complicated.
In her later years, she returned to her childhood home in Dayton, OH to become a Home Health Nurse. She used her biting humor and nurturing heart to bring hope to the terminally ill in their final days. It is only fitting that she was surrounded by loving nurses and family during hers. She settled down with a nifty, old chap, Harold Creekmore II of Newcomb, TN, whose union was very closely depicted in the novel North and South. He was a devoted husband until the end.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mary; brother Robert whom she missed very much.
Somehow, she is miraculously survived by her three children, Angela, Chanda, and “the baby” Paul Joseph Webb of Berea, KY; sister, Marna Radcliff; brother, Ed Mendenhall; brother, Tom Wood; grandchildren, Christopher, Nicolas, Tori, Morlijo, and Jayben; her two spoiled cats who remember her fondly, Boo and Bandit.
A Celebration of her Life will be held on Saturday, August 12th at noon at The Retreat, 326 S. Buell St., Perryville, KY.
