Obituary for Renell Brotherton Patton

Renell Brotherton Patton, 99, of Berea, Kentucky, formerly of Greene County, Tennessee, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Berea Healthcare Center.

She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Patton was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star of Mosheim.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law: Bill And Diane Patton; a daughter: Marsha Patton Ottem; grandchildren: Allison Patton (Keith) Harrison, Kristin Patton (Don) Breeden, Matthew (Ellyce) Patton, Dr. Erich (Mary) Ottem, Jonathan Ottem; great grandchildren: Hallie and Brooke Harrison, Logan, McKenzie and Ethan Breeden, Charlie Patton; and a nephew: George (Donna) Heppe.

She was the daughter of the late Edward and Minta Brotherton and was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Bertie Patton; one daughter, Sue Ellen Patton; a sister, Audrey Brotherton Heppe, and a son-in-law, Norse Ottem.

The family will receive friends 1-3 pm Sunday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will follow visitation at 3 pm Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Associate Minister Don Breeden of Berea Baptist Church officiating.

Interment will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Keith Harrison, Matthew Patton, George Heppe, Jonathan Ottem, Erich Ottem and Bill Patton.
