Obituary for Betty Blanche Williams

Betty Blanche Clark Williams, age 88, widow of Claude Williams, Jr. died Sunday, April 16, 2017 at Berea Health & Rehab. A native of Berea she was born May 2nd, 1928 to the late Mark H. and Katherine Mize Clark. Mrs. Williams was of the Baptist faith, she was retired from Phillips Lighting in Richmond. Mrs. Williams was known for her knowledge of antiques especially cherry furniture and glass ware. She enjoyed playing cards and was an avid U.K. Basketball fan, she was also a member of the Lexington Chapter of the D.A.R.
Other than her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her siblings, Samuel Clark, Bernice Wade, and Beula Ruth Clark.
Mrs. Williams is survived by her children, James E. “Jim” Williams and his wife Randi of Nashville, TN., John C. “Jack” Williams and his wife Brenda, of Richmond, KY., Joan Carol Williams and her husband Homer of Berea, KY., and William “Bill” Williams of Richmond, KY., her sister, Vera Fern Rector of Columbus, OH., and four grandchildren, Gerald Clark Jones of Frankfort, KY., Jennifer Sparks Price of Paint Lick, KY., Brian K. Williams of Paint Lick, KY., and Jill Denise Carney of Knoxville, TN., also survive.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Davis & Powell Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Slemp officiating, burial will follow in the Berea Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Kenny Clark, Joseph Price, Merle Bryant, Brian K. Williams, and Richard Carney. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until service time.
