Obituary for Alan Ray Big Al Williams

Alan Ray 'Big Al' Williams, age 48, husband of Tina Swan Williams died Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at his home. Mr. Williams was born October 29, 1968 in Louisville, KY., He was a sports enthusiast, he loved to play, coach and analyze. He had been the girls' softball, middle school football, little league football and high school baseball coach at Berea Community Schools. He loved muscle cars and Nascar. Also, he loved to play on the church softball team. Mr. Williams was a faithful and dedicated member of the Richmond Church of Christ, he served as Deacon, Education Coordinator, and Family Group Leader.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Delores Hobbs Williams, father, Delbert Williams and a sister, Debra Irene Williams.

Other than his wife he is also survived by his children, Hannah Williams of Searcy, Arkansas and Justus Alan Williams of Paint Lick, Kentucky. A brother Steven (Melissa) Williams and a niece, Debra Irene Williams both of Louisville, Kentucky also survive.

Funeral services will be 4:00 pm, Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the Richmond Church of Christ with Bro. Jack Hall and Bro. Mike Johnson officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the service. Contributions are suggested to the building fund at Richmond Church of Christ, 1500 Lancaster Road Richmond, KY 40475 Davis & Powell Funeral Home in Charge of Arrangements. www.davisandpowellfuneralhome.com
